The Lincroft Little League baseball and softball players, along with family and friends, took to the streets, parading down Newman Springs Road Saturday morning. The parade started at Saint Leo The Great School and ended at the Lincroft Little League Fields.
In support of the kickoff of the season, Lincroft Music Vocal Student, Skylar Ponik was asked to perform The Star Spangled Banner. The Ponik family has been part of the Little League, for many years, so this was a perfect fit to ask her to represent Lincroft Music for this special day.
The field filled with hundreds of athletes, their coaches and their families, all excited be at this event after a few years having to skip it due to the COVID Pandemic.
Skylar's beautiful voice soared, as she delivered a gorgeous performance of the National Anthem which signified the official beginning of the Little League Season! Congratulations on a wonderful performance Skylar, and have a GREAT season Lincroft Little League!
